Accomplishments
Marcela Arteaga has directed documentary and narrative films that have screened at festivals in Latin America, the United States and Europe, including Karlovy Vary, Muestra de Cine Mexicano and the Hamptons. She received an Ariel nomination for Del otro lado del mar (From the Other Side of the Sea) and the documentary Recuerdos (Memories) has received several awards, including Best Film, the FIPRESCI Award, the OCIC Award at the Muestra de Cine Mexicano and the Special Jury Prize at the Malaga Film Festival. She studied at the Centro de Capatación Cinematográfica (CCC) in Mexico City.
