He has also studied at the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba and at the Varan-Rouch Association in Paris. His debut feature film La Migala received an Ariel Award for Best Opera Prima. He has directed more than 30 documentaries and has received several national and international awards.
